QUESTIONS
A few things worth knowing.
Do I need to be based in the UK?
No — Lavender Common operates across Europe and welcomes volunteers from any country. Some roles may have specific location requirements, which we'll make clear when we follow up.
Is there a minimum time commitment?
It depends on the role. General volunteering can be as little as a few hours a month. Fellowship and intern positions ask for more. We'll talk it through when we follow up.
Is any of this paid?
Volunteering with Lavender Common is unpaid. It's purely altruistic — you'd be contributing to a cause, not a career.
How long until I hear back?
We aim to respond to every expression of interest within a couple of weeks. If we don't think it's a fit right now, we'll still let you know.
Can I volunteer without legal expertise?
Absolutely. Translators, organisers, researchers, and communications support are all genuinely useful — you don't need to be a lawyer to contribute to the movement.
